Default Spaceships life support in smaller ships

I'm trying to do Spaceship stats for the Stargate Tel'tak. It is 15 x 10 x 6.5 meters so SM +5. You can't have a Habitat below SM +6, Seats give 24 hours of life support. I think there is a Spaceships that has 1/3rd size modules that can allow more things in a ship. Would using 3 sections to give one habitat module makes sense? Pricing is also a question. A Tel'tak is mainly a cargo ship that you can carry troops or such in. No facilities other then sanitary and water, just empty space you put troops, bedrolls and supplies in. Cost midway between Cargo hold and Habitat?

Yes. That's how the oversize module rules variant works.

Yes, use 3 module spaces for one module of one SM larger. The cost should be the habitat cost as bunkrooms are the same cost as other habitats and really have no more facilities than the ones you describe, thus the major cost of such would then likely be the 4 person life support.

Edit: Also note that the SM 6 stateroom is a cramped one as by the normal progression it would have 0.6 steterooms not 1. Thus in my small weight designs I actually use half size SM 7 module for such and thus require 5 modules in a SM 5 ships. But that is a houserule.

Space ships 7, but it is really simple one. (The small systems rule in there is more complex)

My own more flexible but complex rules that predate the SS7 are in: http://gsuc.roto.nu/doku.php?id=system_size

I think the Tel'tak is boxy enough to qualify for +1 or +2 SM under the rules on p. 19 of the basic set.

Looking at the stats in http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Tel%27tak

According to it the cargo load is 35 metric tons so 100 tons seems like a likely fairly suitable total mass making it SM +6. 300 tons would be too much most likely.

So something like: SM +6 ship:
front:
1 armor
2 control
3-6: bunkroom
Middle:
1 armor
2-5:cargo
6,core: bunkroom
Rear:
1 armor
2 cloaking device
3 ftl drive
4 normal space drive
5-6,core:cargo

Or whatever layout it has internally.. but something like the modules above.

Cloaking device is optional. Needs a Naquadah power plant. I used the one slot for both drives option since I like less impossible science so the reactionless drive and the hyperdrive are the same violation of physics. Most of them do seem to have a ring transporter however so that takes a slot.

Physically the layout seems to be control room in front, big empty space for cargo and rough accommodations for troops and such, engine room. I think the rings were in a corner of the big room, need to look at screen caps. They are in the floor except when in use.
