Default Expansion Icons - Used When?

Hello,

I recently obtained a set of Munchkin Fantasy which appears to be a 2001 release (box has no GAMA Award sticker; the rule sheet merely says copyright 2001 and not a version) and a few other indicators such as darker backs. However, it also came with some cards from Unnatural Axe mixed in. These do not have the expansion icon. So, a hopefully simple question: what printing(s) started the use of them?

I'd like to try and narrow down what I actually have. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like a complete set if the card list on worldofmunckin is accurate for all runs.

We started using icons around the time Munchkin 4 initially came out, so... 2005ish?

Thank you.

That helps narrow down the number of printings that could be without distinguishing icons. Assuming artwork remained the same, I can narrow down which belong to each set individually and thereby sort them properly.
