can someone clarify this for me?
I was lucky enough to get hold of this card today while at a board game society meeting at my local game shop, and I'm wondering if someone can clarify the text for me? What does it mean when it says "Any time you change your pawn"?

If you change your pawn from the male (Spyke) pawn to the female (Flower) pawn, and vice versa. I don't believe the mail pawn are still available for sale, but the female pawns are not.

ahh ok - well you would only do that when/if you changed sex, right? so could it be worded that way instead? "anytime you change your sex"? b/c like you said, the female pawns are out of print, and I can't find them for sale anywhere. We've been using the Gender cards from Munchkin Deluxe in this game, for when this happens - since we don't have a set of female pawns.

I would guess (I can not remember, honestly) that's a promo card from when the female pawns were released, and it's based on a card in Munchkin which does say that the effect occurs every time you change your sex. If you want to house rule it as such, I can't stop you (nor do I want to).
