Feedback on Fright Check / Magic house rule for a Fantasy-Horror setting

It is interesting, and demonstrates a bit of "corruption" but I would propose an alternate cluster of disadvantages for those looking to ditch magically created trauma; wierdness magnet, unnatural features, supernatural problems like no reflection, arcane, lifebane and the like, to indicate a progressive problem with reality.

Have you considered making Corrupting mandatory for Magery in such a setting? The more magic somebody uses, the more it starts to mess with them. And yeah, you can go with things like Weirdness Magnet and Supernatural Features, instead of just making them a psycho killer.
