Re: Torch in HTH?
I take the "you must drop your weapon" due to most things (HTH, falling, missile weapon user getting engaged) as usually being optional and code for "you probably won't be able to use it, so you should drop it", rather than "the rules say your literally must drop your weapons".
We have always had it that slimed people could keep and use a torch in HTH with a slime. |

Re: Torch in HTH?
I distinguish between slimes that are on you but not "REALLY" HTH. And trolls and others that can actually grapple you. Trolls drop, slimes no drops

Re: Torch in HTH?
Hard to do "Hand to Hand" when you have no hands. Yes you engage, but the rules/effects should be a little different

Re: Torch in HTH?
A related question: Once a slime has slimed you, is there any way to get it off other than killing it? E.g., should you be allowed to disengage from HTH with a slime?

Re: Torch in HTH?
A: Does Wizard page 23 "He may cast spells, but only on himself or his foe in HTH, and is at a -4 DX for that" apply ITL?
If so which non-fire spells hurt green slimes? (Staff occult strikes? Including from your silver dagger in HTH?)
