Note that for my own works, I usually wind up with about 550 per page (including all art, ToC, blah blah). My TFT stuff winds up being closer to 650.
In longer works than these, we tell writers "850 words per page" as an average. That does not mean 850 words on each page! That means (total words in draft)/(total pages minus endpapers) ≈ 850. Pages with big chapter headings, boxes, quotes, art, airy tables or templates, etc. hold considerably fewer words . . . sometimes as few as 300 words. Pages with full-page maps hold no words. On the other hand, I've once or twice seen 1,000 words packed onto a very gray page with nothing but words.

In these ultra-short works, chapter headings represent a greater proportion of the page area, while we've included a higher-than-usual density of art (and color) to make them special and pretty. That reduces words per page. Starting at 11 pages, subtract the ad to get 10 pages of actual supplement. Remove one page for the title page, and subtract 2/3 of a page for Contents and About GURPS together, to get 8⅓ pages for the author's words. Using my earlier figures, that results in a range of 480 to 820 words/page, averaging about 680 words/page. And the really low figure is for the supplement with 3½ pages of maps, maps, maps; the actual density of words/page on non-map pages is over 800.

For previous Kickstarters that delivered PDFs through W23, the Backerkit questionnaire simply asked you the username of your W23 account.

Again, n00b. Where is the link to the Backerkit questionnaire hiding? (I have yet to make a Backerkit account, if one is needed.)

If history is any guide, it doesn't exist yet. There are some administrative fun and games at the end of the campaign, but eventually (which is to say, in a period of time typically measured at least in weeks), you will be sent a link. None of this happens instantly or even particularly quickly.

Precisely the number needed, neither too many nor too few.

Coincidentally, I’ve just had the Backerkit link info for a different Kickstarter campaign — nothing at all to do with SJGames — which ended on the 3rd of this month. Some are quicker, some are slower. Stuff has to be done.

Variability came from the number of maps, tables, and heavily formatted stats blocks (e.g., templates), and clever layout tricks. If you like meaningless averages, though, call it 5,700 words.
Hmm... interesting.

The more items that will be added to the Backerkit the longer it takes to set up and test. This campaign was offering to add virtually all SJGames GURPS PDFs to the backerkit, which is a list of several hundred items. That could take some time.

I hope they have an intern to do it. That would be tedious to do.
