[Magic] Enchanting A Better Bra
Some people are probably going to crucify me for bringing this topic up, but I like to here people's thoughts on my my thoughts about what's possible within the rules provided in Magic, what might be possible, and what would probably be the best solution.
So first up, two defiantly do-able options: Bra Of Holding: A play on the Bag of Holding, this is a bra where the cups have been Enchanted with Hideaway, resulting the the wearer breasts being put into some sort of extra dimensional space when worn, this means there is no weight on the chest, but they provide no support (probably resulting in sagging sooner) and the wearer will not have breasts when worn. Bra Of Lightness: Lighten Burden Enchanted on the cups of a bra, reducing weight by up to half, with the possibly annoying side effect that they increase bounciness/jiggling. These two options have some shared drawbacks: They only effect what's actually in the cups of the bra, meaning that showing any cleavage reduces their effectiveness; And they are only a single bra, this means that should you want to want to wear a different bra, or not wear a bra all (swimsuit, for example), you lose the effect, if you grow or change size/shape you need to replace with (Adjustable Clothing not withstanding) and um, it's only a single bra, hope you don't want to change it. The Chainmail Bikini in Magic Items 2 suggests that it might be possible to make an item that creates a force field bra, very supportive, wouldn't do anything for back pain, and may well be uncomfortable to wear given how unyielding it would be. My personal favorite: A nipple piercing/ring or clamp that reduces the weight of the wearer breasts, suffers the same bounciness/jiggling issue as the Bra Of Lightness, but without the other problems. Might be doable with a variant of Levitation, which has a second, unknown enchantment option at this time, likely one that permanently effects an object. So what do people think? Which one is your favorite? Or do you have another suggestion. For those wondering why I came up with this, I was doing some mental work on consumer enchantments, in particular minor ones. |
