Nonlocality is boggling my mind (is Cosmic +50% enough?)
So, I've been trying to figure out Warp mechanics for years so I can get a firm grasp on it. I've finally gotten a chance to look at this ability in Powers: The Weird. Now, I can remove a lot of the modifiers from it pretty easily, so I want to focus on three; Accessibility (Requires knowledge of destination), Cosmic (Based on memory instead of spatial coordinates) and Blind.
These together cost 90 points and seem to be the real bulk of the power. Considering that Photographic Memory costs 10 pts, is this power actually similar in utility to base Warp? The cosmic seems like it's there to utterly ignore time and distance modifiers, meaning that I can go anywhere. Does it need the Accessibility to work? Without it, can I basically go anywhere I please on an IQ+5 roll? |
