Each glass is +1. How you divvy up the total bonus is up to you.

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
I would just like to verify something about this item. The only provides +1 per glass in Munchkin Cthulhu, not in any other variety of Munchkin?
That is how I read the tweets, but the offical page in Angie's link on the first post does not mention any rule for the item. Since I do not own Munchkin Cthulhu I probably will not make a purchase if it only applies to one game. But if it applies to them all ... ;)

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
It's moot, since the rule requires you to have a receipt dated the day they went live on W23.

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
It seemed like the OP was explaining how to use the +1 bonus while still waiting for the order to arrive. I could see why it may have caused confusion.

Aw man...I took it as meaning if you had ordered them and wanted to use the bonus before they actually arrived at your mailbox present your receipt during the game. I bought them the day after their release. Oh well, I guess I still have some wicked awesome glasses.

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
I ordered them the first day and the order was cancelled that night and I then reordered them after the first day, would I still get the bonus since I have that first receipt and the glasses?

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
Ethically, I would expect most people to have a problem with someone using the receipt from a canceled order in this manner. I suppose that's between you and your conscience, since there probably isn't any way to detect this.

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
Wait, am I understanding correctly? This item ONLY gives a bonus if you ordered it on the first day it was available? And kept the receipt?
That's kind of an...odd...marketing decision. Rather atypical of Munchkin products, too, as far as I can tell. Or is it just that, if you want to use the rule BEFORE having the glasses in hand, you have to have a receipt from that first day? And once you have the glasses you can use the special ability normally, no matter what day you purchased them? That would make a lot more sense to me. |

Re: Cthulhu Shot Glass Rule for Munchkin Cthulhu
It should be noted that these shot glasses were not created or sold as a Munchkin item, nor did we intend for them to have a specific rule when we were planning to sell them. Once they went live, we thought it would be a nice perk for early buyers to get a little in-game bonus, but that was a spur-of-the-moment decision, not a change in marketing.
