I don't think you can walk around with a re-purposed combat drone without looking suspicious... I'm leaving Pi on board and he's just a little tech bot. (I'm keeping a comm link open in case I need him to translate something or research something for me...)

Apparently walking around with any drone makes a bad impression, so Bell will certainly put up a fight about it if you try to bring your battle-bot.

But we can have that discussion IC if we ever all make it to the air lock....

All very true. You don't bring an AK 47 to dinner with the governor, or even the mayor. Its even rude to bring a cello or a tool box.

Though its not that any drone makes a bad impression, its that they are considered tools, and if one's following you around its on business. "Business" Drones do exist: they're called data-pads and they fit in your pocket.

I've got useful data on the way too... That's what data and comm links are for...

I've got my drone and the Captain sees to any other needs...

I'm still waiting to hear how much of my starting cash is tied up in Bell Logistics...
But really I'm all set. Any changes I might make wouldn't be seen at the end of the thread anyway, they'll be back on Post #24, my character post...

As far as I know, you can't on this forum.

Quote:
Obelisk; 223 800$ (Not Carried, Signature Gear), 216 lbs
call it 100,000$.

Quote:
Expedition Suit (1/20th water consumption, -120F to 120F, DR 5*)
Nanoweave Bodysuit (Light, DR 12/4*)
Air Mask (DR 10 to face & eyes, provides Sealed, 2 sec)
survival suit is approved except for DR values. All damage and DR values in UT are explicitly wrong in this campaign.

Quote:
{N4} this nanoweave canvas bag has DR 12/3 vs piercing and cutting, and counts as sealed when closed (micro-zipper). When carried, count as torso (1/2), it does not cover crushing damage.
nano-weave bags ARE approved in campagin, though the stats are different. Don't worry about the details until you need to though. I'm trying to minimize equipment. Most of this is standard gear with the ship.

Quote:
1) are fusion reactors using ^ settings?
No, and we're not using UT rules either (mostly). The machines described in UT are DT reactors, which require very expensive fuel, and have a minimum size of 4 yards across (this limits space ship sizes, so its important). CNO reactors run on the cosmic equivalent of dirt, but are a minimum of 20 yards across (which limits most interstellar ship sizes) and run at half efficiency. He Reactors are a minimum of 100 yards across, run on He (cheap if other reactors are around), are very finicky, and run at .75% DT efficiency. Antimatter reactors are restricted to the branch of aliens that destroyed earth. Specs for AM are unknown. Prices are based on spaceship reactor costs for Ships 2 SM larger than the given size.

2) Do quantum CPU exist? if so, are there limits?
No Quantum CPU. sorry.

3) what do I do with my extra money ? (easily 300 000$ left, but it's better to add the 5 points for x5 instead of x2... )
choose a cargo to carry around the stars! you've got the space on the ship, and currency isn't transferable. I'm sure Bell will find some hair-brained investment scheme to invest it in if he gets really bored with his money.

At this point I'm going to say none. He doesn't have the wealth to make a difference in the investment, so I'm going to say his role is as a coordinator. For a heavy involvement, buy a duty at -10 (set up versions of company on other planets, not much risk, comes up all the time but can be put off) for a 10 point patron (the company, almost never comes up).
