Default New Cthulhu Promo Cards

Got the following Cthulhu promo cards with a recent order:
  • Monstrous Heritage
  • Research Assistant
  • Whim of the Elder Gods
I noticed they all have the special Cthulhu "Promo" back, which has specific rules associated with it (from the Cursed Demo rules).

So this brings up two questions:
  • Does this mean Research Assistant and Monstrous Heritage aren't shuffled into the deck, as the older versions are, but instead can only be played at the beginning of the game as your chosen "Promo" card?
  • Does the limit of only one "Promo" card per game apply to these cards?

I got the same cards today

Not 100% sure if ask about the same thing as the first question, but either way:
  • Would the Research Assistant and Monstrous Heritage that are in Cursed Demo considered to be promo cards despite their non promo back?

One the second question I would assume the rules of promo cards as follows on the Cursed Demo are the general rules on promo cards in general

I'm going to be running a Munchkin Cthulhu game at GenghisCon and would like to have an official answer for this in case the question comes up. Andrew?

1½ month I think is a fair amount of time for this not to be considered as nagging, but a official answer would be nice, I mean it is kind of unfair for the people that I give promo cards to that anyone can draw one just like it...

They're PROMO cards and follow all the rules for PROMO cards. The fact that older versions weren't so labeled doesn't change what the new printings of these cards are.

Apparently its not the same question...
  • Would the Research Assistant and Monstrous Heritage that are in Cursed Demo considered to be promo cards despite their non promo back?

With ^that^ statement I would guess no, In the way that one of the new promo cards can be played as an extra card in "character building" and the others have to be drawn from the appropriate deck...

Should I take out those extra Research Assistant and Monstrous Heritage cards I have in my Cthulhu stack as having them in weakens the power of the promo card?

Treat all the cards as being whatever they look like. Whether you take them out of your decks or not is your decision.
