Discarding Cards (for, say a Thief)
Hello Munchkins :)
I have a question that i am not sure about. I saw in the forums, that cards, that need you to discard cards from your hand are specific about this (like "Discard from your hand") all other costs / effects who don't say "from your hand" can (or have to?) be discarded from your cards in play, like the items you carry or the stuff you have equipped (not in combat). Since most of the cards don't read "from your hand" i think this question is pretty important for my further understanding of munchkin :D Thanks a lot guys :) Last edited by MunchkinMan; 10-29-2014 at 11:19 AM. Unless it specifies from where you must discard the card, you can discard from those cards in front of you (except, in the case of Classes, you can't discard an active Class to use that Class's ability) or from those in your hand. This is stated in the rules directly.

Re: Discarding Cards (for, say a Thief)
i think you confused "cards that tell you to discard cards" and "cards that tell you to discard items".
like eric said, when a card tells you to discard a card you can choose from where to discard it (unless stated otherwise). BUT if a card tells you to discard an item it must be an item you have in play (unless stated otherwise). hope it helps! |
