Default Long Bony Fingers Rule Clarification

Long Bony Fingers

The card says you can go through the discards and find one you want. Then take that one and discard this one

Does that mean you can look through the discards and if you DON'T find a card you want, you don't have to take a card from the discards or discard this card?

This is one I'm going to have to think about (especially since I have a horrible cold and my brain is running about 35% right now).

Isn't it basicly Wand of Dowsing? I'd say that it's highly logical to count it so, because otherwise you'll get infinite "searching discard piles" ability until you decide to use the card to get another.

But, let's wait on what's sick, sick Andrew has to say.

I did think about the whole indefinite searching of the discards but surely if you didn't find it the first time you shouldn't be allowed to relook through that portion of the discards later.
