Default [SS] Mad Scientist's Space-RV

I've got a rough design sketched out for a PCmobile (for this setting), which uses and abuses a variety of options; can anyone see anything I'm forgetting, or other improvements to be made?

* GURPS Spaceships version of the bolaship "Spindizzy":
* Design specs: Budget $50M. Carry 1 mad scientist and 1-5 assistants (species SM-1) anywhere on Earth, the Solar System, or nearby stars, to wherever the latest scientific investigation is to be done. Reasonably self-sufficient in terms of power, life-support, fuel, etc. Carry science-investigation gear. In lawless/corrupt areas, sufficient defenses to stay in one piece long enough to run away, sufficient weapons to deter bullies.

I'm aware that Open Spaces aren't supposed to go down to this size, but based on the proposals from this study on space habitation, it seems plausible enough to grow enough food to be useful. (Potatoes take around 100 days per crop, 2000 plants per acre = 20 plants in this garden, harvesting 1 plant/5 dayss, yield 30,000 lb/acre/100 days = 3 lb/day in this garden. Each acre can feed 5168 people = 51.68 people fed by this garden. So if one-ninth of the garden is dedicated to potatoes for calories, the rest can go to other veggies for vitamins; eg, carrots, lettuce, peas, tomatoes. And there's extra foodstuffs carried as cargo: canned meats, salt, spices, etc.)

I'm probably going to fold some of the explicitly-priced-out electronics in the small-SM gear into the general comm-array, which should save enough in the budget to pay for a proper load of consumables, spare parts, and the like.

Very interesting; do you happen to have enough info to describe those in Spaceships terms, with mass instead of volume?
