I should think that would be 'It Takes a Child to Raise a Village' shouldn't it?

Not if you have to murder everyone in the village to resurrect someone.

It Takes a Child to Raze a Village - minor sacrificing to get more minions
It Takes a Village to Raise a Child - major sacrificing to resurrect or produce free-willed undead.

You're a lot more generous than I am. I was thinking our evil necromancer wouldn't hesitate to slaughter an entire village in order to get just one child zombie.

But then, perhaps innocent children are harder to turn into undead than adults corrupted by life experience -- and so are correspondingly more powerful once turned.

That's probably drifting too much on the horrific side for a silly campaign, though. Let's stick with your direction.

Ya know, I forget that not everyone knows about the semi-non-official Sacrifice Spell that Kromm wrote up more than 20 years ago. Using that an average child is worth about 200 energy (assuming virginity doubles energy), which is enough to cast a 28 yard radius Mass Zombie spell. So by Sacrificing a child you can Raise a village (as zombies).
