Epic Halfling win?
I was playing Epic Munchkin last week with some friends and a friend of mine (a lvl 19 halfling) played, out of his hand, the Level 3 The Mighty Germ. The note attached to this particular monster is "Halflings can just stomp it, killing it automatically, regardless of its level."
My question is this, if used attempting to win the game (out of his hand), are there any ways to stop him? While it is automatically killed, I argued since it was played out of his hand, I could play a wandering monster to join the party. While he would still "kill" The Mighty Germ, shouldn't he have to complete the combat now that a second monster is involved? The argument from my friend was that the word "automatically" ends the combat, and nothing can be played to prevent him. However, being the owner of the deck, I ruled that wandering monsters could (and should) be played to prevent a win. Thoughts? ~~A loyal Munchkin fan |

Re: Epic Halfling win?
You can add a wandering monster to any combat. While the Germ is dead and its levels don't count, combat continues with the new monster and various things can be done to it. If he didn't defeat the new monster, then he wouldn't get any levels or treasures.
