Re: INWO: Custom Cards
Here's a card I proposed on another thread that might be fun to play with:
Third Party Power 1 Resistance 1 Alignment: Determined when played The player may determine whether this card is Liberal or Conservative; once chosen, it cannot be changed. Roll a die when played, on a 1, the card is also either Green, Communist, Science or Church; again, the player's choice. There may be more than one Third Party in play at a time. Third Parties rarely have much direct impact on politics, but their best ideas are sometimes stolen by the big players, for better or for worse. By spending their action, a Third Party may give a +2 or -2 to the power of any Government group for that turn only. EDIT: It was suggested on the other thread that instead of rolling, the player could simply be allowed to choose one alignment and one attribute. I've got no problem with that, if that's how people prefer to play ... for me, the original version reinforced that with Third Parties, you can never be quite sure what you'll get. :)

For that matter, Fellow Travelers might work, too. (And if the old Red Scare card is really that useless, I suppose we could always choose to replace it.)

Spam in general, of course, IS a common occurrence, but this board polices itself pretty well. If anything, it's seemed a little lighter than usual over the last couple of months.

Re: INWO: Custom Cards
A couple of new Plot cards:
Recount! "The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." -- Stalin Due to "electoral irregularities," you may take any Power-enhancing card that is linked to another player's Personality and transfer it to one you control. This requires either one Illuminati action or two actions from Government groups. Graveyard Vote By using one Illuminati action or two actions from Secret groups, you may use a "dead" Group to help make a single attack or defend against one. After this action, the Group reverts to its "dead" status and the Plot is discarded.

Merry Chri$tma$ From Black Friday to the after-Christmas shopping binges, the corporate world pins a lot of its hopes on December. For one turn, all Corporate and Media cards in play get +5 to Power and Resistance. A card with both gets +10! The War on Christmas "What do you mean 'Happy Holidays,' you Communist?" Fighting over the "spiritual" meaning of Christmas heats up, especially in sloganeering. By spending a Media action, the player of this card can either cancel the action of a Church group, or enhance its effectiveness with a +5 bonus.

Re: INWO: Custom Cards
Hi Holden,
long time no see :) Just discovered this: A website that can easily "cartoonize" photographs used for homebrew cards, to make them look more like the official cards. www.befunky.com Cheers Martin |
