Loadouts MH
The ununsually high $AUS/$US exchange rate makes me think I should pick up more GURPS books while the going is good.
I am really enjoying the MH series and was thinking of picking up Loadouts. The preview is only of the TOC + index though so I am not sure what is covered under each the actual heading. I assume the content is mostly full lists of equipment using the weapons and mundane items from HT? Anything else in it that would make me happy to have picked it up? If you or others in your player group are likely to consider a tactically orientated MH flavoured 'bug hunt', I'd recommend it.

Re: Loadouts MH
The "Bigger is Better" box on page 9. Optional wounding modifiers for firearms in the 10mm to 15mm range, eg .45acp would be 1.6. It's not that big a deal but it might make some players very happy.

Re: Loadouts MH
Yes, DF13 was inspired by L:MH. The loadouts are given in a similar degree of detail, though I'd say that L:MH offers a bit more detail, since it goes into things like how many batteries are needed, etc.

Re: Loadouts MH
L:MH covers 3 specific monster hunter types (Scout, Sage, Slayer), where as MH has 10 templates - so the loadouts don't directly match templates. (DF13 has loadout options for each of the existing Templates from DF1 to 12!)
The basics should be fine, and for getting going quickly each of the 10 MH templates can probably work OK with one of the 3 L:MH loadout variants. L:MH chapter 1 has notes on Monster Hunting, the roles, general Gear, and some extra weapon options - as well as the actual Loadouts! Has anyone used the Loadouts largely 'as is' for the standard MH templates? |

Re: Loadouts MH
Hey, DF13 indicates exactly how many batteries are needed.

Re: Loadouts MH
Are Load Outs designed to ba a starting place with the ability to swap out individual items?
