Default What would you like to see on #SJGamesLIVE?

In early December, we did a 7+ hour non-stop live Google Hangout! (Watch here if you missed it: http://bit.ly/SJGamesLIVE)

I'd like to start doing a smaller version of this on a regular basis and want to hear from all of you. What would you like to see on #SJGamesLIVE?
(Please note, just because you say it, doesn't mean we can do it.)

Also, if you have feedback on the last #SJGamesLIVE, here is the place for it!

Well, my favorite products are GURPS, Ogre, and Car Wars.

Other than those products, I'm always curious to hear people talk about how they make things, the choices that go into production development, and similar issues. I guess I'd appreciate a glimpse into the heart of making games.

I'd like to see a segment with Sean Punch that doesn't suffer from a dead connection most of the time.

SJ and several members of his crew have been in the game industry a long time, and in that time, a lot of new kinds of games have developed (CCGs, Eurogames, clicky games, cooperative games, etc.). I'd be curious to hear veterans discuss their perspective on how the state of game development has changed over the years. We're already seeing bits and pieces of how the new Car Wars is different from the old one. How would SJ Games do, say, a new Kung Fu 2100, One Page Bulge, or Raid On Iran?

We want Sean! We want Sean!

And also a review of Dark Dungeons.

Give us Sean Punch - also Steven Marsh - and you won't have a forum riot on your hands. ;-)

Yeah, I got your Sean and Steven (and others!) right here.

Heck, I see your Sean and Steven and raise you a Steve.

Couldn't resist. :-)

I just had a thought. Considering how often it's come up on the forums recently, how about a discussion of a possible GURPS Fifth Edition? Asking the question and getting the answer "there are no plans for one" should fill at least one minute of a podcast - maybe two if you pad it out.

Except (A) we usually want to more than a few minutes for these things, and (B) we have discussed the fact that no 5th edition is coming via these channels, and yet people still ask. In fact, I'm pretty sure that declaring "the focus of the next #SJGamesLive will be on how no GURPS 5th Edition is coming" would just make everyone swear that 5E is around the corner. :)

LOL. That would be classic, if life were a sitcom. (And I'm not saying it's not.)

It'd be nice if #SJGamesLIVE could go into the production process for Ogre 6e, the new Car Wars, and Dungeon Fantasy. Choosing the box size (shelf space considerations), box artwork, picking a company to do the printing, what to include in the product vs. what to leave for future add-ons, that sort of thing.

Or, a lecture from Phil on the history of toys. :)

I would like some talk on how the physical products for GURPS tests have gone and overall impressions on where we may be headed.
