Munchkin Bites!
Regardless of what it originally parodied, I feel like most of us that bought it had no idea what it was parodying, we just liked playing with vampires and werewolves and such. It's a great monster munchkin game, you can always just run with that

Re: Munchkin Bites!
(I spun these posts off from the Nightmare Before Christmas promo card discussion, which is why the first post lacks some context.)
Munchkin Bites! is a parody of the World of Darkness Storyteller games, originally from White Wolf and now supported by Onyx Path. Specifically, three of the early games in the WOD were Vampire, Werewolf, and Changeling. The WW games were known, at least initially, for lots of Portentious Polysyllables and one of the first fully realized metaplots in tabletop RPGs.
