Re: Munchkin for Xbox Live
Well it's a positive thing in the long run, as Andrew says in there they have learnt things, and if/when they return to developing such a product again it will be much stronger for it.

The article didn't mention anything about developing for the One. Anyone know if this is being considered? |

Agree with everyone here. I was really looking forward to this title on XBLA. The video I remember seeing with a preview looked promising. I'll go cry in a corner now. :-(

Re: Munchkin for Xbox Live
Being new to Munchkin I can't say I can really be upset at the same level as people that have been waiting for this...
but all that said, It would be nice to be able to play Munchkin online. I guess the bargaining side of it could be a bit hard to create, or you would have to create options for 1st and last treasure etc which could slow the game down. I am guessing these are the kinds of issues they were struggling to hurdle; I am not a game designer and wouldn't know an intelligent way to solve this issue. There's a tabletop simulator game on Steam where you can play games but the game doesn't create rules, the players keep scores etc but that is probably too chaotic, especially with random players as opposed to friends. Maybe one day in the future. |

Hey guys and gals! It's Andrew from Marooners' Rock. Yeah, I got the news right from a SJ Games press release. Still I'm shocked it was canceled, but then again I still think a Munchkin game on Steam would be perfect as well and if later on bring it to consoles.
