How do you combine Fantasy sets (how many do you use at a time)?
New to the game (and these forums), and have played about 1/2 dozen games. Really enjoying them, so for the fantasy theme I now have the base/Deluxe set, Unnatural Axe, and Clerical Errors (with De-Ranged on the way).
I'm curious how folks use their fantasy Munchkin sets (at least 1-5 and 7-8, as I know 6 -- Demented Dungeons -- is a bit different). Do you just mix/combine them all? Do you pick/mix 2-3 to play with at a time? Do certain combos or individual expansions lead to less balanced games? Are there any expansions or combos of that you tend to avoid? I also have set 6 (Demented Dungeons), Holiday Surprise, and Game Changers, but am holding off on using these until I get the game down a bit more. So, for now I'm just talking about Fantasy Munchkin 1-5 & 7-8. I'm sure I'll get all the Fantasy eventually, but I'm trying to figure out if all at once is a good thing, a bad thing, or a different thing than just using a few at a time. Thanks! |

Re: How do you combine Fantasy sets (how many do you use at a time)?
I just have them all combined (except the portal cards from Munchkin 6). It makes for a monster stack but it's fun. I also have Munchkin deluxe (just the first set) separate for simpler games. I'm thinking of buying doubles of all the fantasy to keep separate so I can plan which sets I play more.
I am looking forward to blending the original 1 with the new Munchkin Legends. |
