Itching Powder revisited
While seeking clarification regarding whether the Itching Powder can target footgear/headgear, I came across these two posts. They aren't contradictory, but the first is a definitive yes, whereas the more recent post says "might not." That being said, could we possibly get an official ruling on this?
Case for Not allowing footgear/headgear to be targeted: Clothing is clothing; hats and shoes are accesories. People always refer to the "shoes they bought to go along with the new outfit, blah blah." However, if 'clothing' simply means anything worn (other than weapons and shields since the card specifies that), then the Itching Powder would be allowed to target footgear headgear. 11-27-2009, 10:56 AM Quote:

Re: Itching Powder Question
I feel like we got an answer, too, and now I can't find it. . . :-(

Re: Itching Powder Question
Official answer: Anything you have to PUT ON, as opposed to simply PICK UP, is Clothing.

Re: Itching Powder Question
Thank you Andrew for a final verification on this, answers a dispute my group and I have been having for a while now. Seems trivial I know, but as with most munchkin games disputes occur, and it seems best to get a verification on what the ruling is. Thanks once again and may all your days be munchkinly.

Re: Itching Powder Question
To clarify: Anything you can put on can be picked up...but not everything you pick up can be put on?
Would that apply to Scary False Teeth or Really Impressive Title?

The Really Impressive Title is exactly that--a title. It's not an Item, and it's not worn. The same would apply to Theme Music. The Scary False Teeth are worn in your munchkin's mouth (and have a gold value) so they could be targeted by the Itching Powder. |

Re: Itching Powder Question
Teeth aren't something that is PUT ON... they're PUT IN.

Re: Itching Powder Question
Andrew's busy at PAX Prime, so you could be waiting a long time for that response. I can, however, tell you the answer if you'd like. It's. . . yes.
