And you shouldn't forget the Uncle Al piece that was included with the Ogre music.

I don't recall any UA references in the Ogre computer game.

That's because it was part of the music stretch reward from the Ogre Designer Edition Kickstarter (update #234 mentions it). I need to remember to play it before the final round of my next Car Wars tournament. (Michael, remind me to bring it for Dragonflight).

It was indeed - both a stretch goal and discussed in Update #234. But it is available if you're interested; you can find it on Bandcamp.

The Uncle Al spot is track #17.

Hmm, okay. Ah, that doesn't sound like Ogre's in game music. Call me crazy. It is rather .... how does one put it ... eclectic?

The Damnation Alley Soundtrack has finally been released as a Limited Edition CD! The music that played when the Landmaster was shown in action always makes me smile.

As I am typing this message I am listening to the soundtrack of the 1990s computer game SWIV 3D Assault. Its combination of classical and electronica music made that game very fun to play. The Dune Buggy was difficult to control compared to the aerial vehicles, but it had many cool weapon options.

I just learned all four seasons of the TV series Viper have been released on DVD. Finally! The Viper Collection is worth purchasing just for Season 1 that took place in a near-future world of car combat, cyberpunk elements, and crime.

I recall damnation ally as that B-grade post apoc scifi flick about the tricked out RVs. Was the music any good? I can't recall a big score for the film.

Blue Ghost,

Damnation Alley was a 1977 movie based on the short story and novel of the same name by Roger Zelazny. It featured the 12-wheel Landmaster traveling across the post-nuclear U.S.

Damnation Alley was finally released on DVD and Blu-ray a few years ago. The DVD and Blu-ray versions of the movie are still available from Amazon.com and other Internet retailers.

The Damnation Alley novel is worth reading. Its story has several differences from the movie.

Damnation Alley has a few scenes that have memorable music, especially the tracks that play when the Landmaster is filmed driving across desert landscapes. The soundtrack was never released until a few months ago.

Damnation Alley was one of works of car combat media that led me to Car Wars, therefore the film is one of my favorite titles, and I was pleased the Damnation Alley soundtrack was finally released.

The music score from Escape From New York, the music score from Escape from L.A., and the soundtrack from Escape From L.A. (including "The One" by White Zombie) are three collections of music that would be appropriate to have playing during Car Wars games.

The music score from the 1987 movie The Running Man would be appropriate to play during a death sport such as autodueling. :o)

The music score from the 2008 movie Death Race is a must-have for any Car Wars fan. It has a very cool, short introduction by Ian "Coach" McShane.

The songs that played during Death Race, never released on a collected CD, would also provide good background music for Car Wars.

White Zombie's "Reload" is another song that would be good for Car Wars. It was used effectively in a Space Hulk video from 2007.

Only released as a LP outside of the U.S., the music score for Battletruck / Warlords of the 21st Century had several excellent guitar tracks.

Just the instrumentals, tho' -- there's at least one song from that flick whose lyrics are unrepeatable at biker rallies....
