Head Boy/Head Girl ability question (Harry Potter Munchkin)
The Head Boy/Girl card contains the following text:
"Once per combat, you may give an item to another player to get +3 for the player's side." My wife and I read this card differently. My interpretation: Once per combat, you may give an item to another player to get a +3 for THAT player's side. Example: Ronald is in combat against Tom Riddle and is losing by 2. Head Girl Hermione has a crush on Ronald and wants to help him in combat, so gives him an item, granting him a +3 in the combat regardless of the nature of the item. My wife's interpretation: Once per combat, you may give an item to another player to give a +3 to whatever player happens to be the one in combat, which may include yourself. Example. Head Girl Hermione is in combat against Tom Riddle and is losing by 2. Head Girl Hermione would really rather not die so hands Ronald an item, giving the player in combat (Hermione) a +3. Can we get some help resolving this one? Thanks! |

Your wife is right. "The players' side" means whichever players are currently in combat against the monsters.
