Acute Detect
Although I don't think it has been explicitly stated, I assume that you can buy Acute (Sense) for the Detect advantage.
If so, does one acute sense cover all versions of detect which you have, or only one? If it is the former, I assume the correct way to record it is as 'Acute Detect', but if the latter, should it have the same name as the detect advantage it is linked to (i.e. 'Acute Detect Foo'), or be given a less cumbersome name ('Acute Bar')? For example, the Wiretap ability from Powers: Enhanced Senses gives Detect Electric Currents in Circuits, which would give the rather wordy Acute Detect Electric Currents in Circuits if we go with the former option, while Acute Wiretap is a more pleasing name. On the other hand, there is potential for confusion if a character has several senses a name could refer to. |

Re: Acute Detect
I personally use Acute Detect [Specific Type]. If you can Detect All Electrical Currents (probably going to get used more for a Supers setting than Hard Sci Fi), that is simply a more common category than Detect for Electrical Currents in Circuits Only, which is built into the cost of Detect.

Re: Acute Detect
The RAW way to write it is probably "Acute Detect Electric Circuits in Currents." But I don't think it does any harm if in your own campaign, you use a shorter name, so long as it doesn't create any misunderstanding between player and GM. Just make sure you both understand what it refers to.
