Default The Seventh Seal

I remember hearing that Munchkin Apocalypse had a way of ending the game early, a la Munchkin Cthulhu. From this tweet, it appears that the game ends when the Seventh Seal is opened.

The part that intrigues me is that this keeps a level 9 player from winning. So who DOES win? Nobody? Or is there some other determining factor besides level?

It would be annoying if the game ended without a winner on a regular basis, but I doubt that is all that common an occurance if that DOES happen.

I think it's probably like the Fluxx Un-Goals, where nobody wins.

I'll not say until Andrew say it's ok to do so, but I can guarantee that there is one winner.

I think that once the rules are published to the web site or the game starts shipping to stores, we can definitely say it.

Yes, but normally this doesn't occur until after the release, which is going to be a while. Maybe the Powers that Be release the info beforehand.

Since the winning condition occurred in today's game (and since it's covered in one of my podcasts), I'm comfortable saying that when the Seventh Seal is opened, the winner is the player with the largest combat strength EXCLUSIVE of Level. (Put another way, the one with the most toys wins.)

Most powerful, at the very least. Someone can have a lot of little toys in play and still not win. . .

What happens if someone has a card like Elder in play, where their level is doubled in combat? Does that count or no?

They're saying if seven seals are open at once you add up your bonuses and ignore your level. Highest wins.
