Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
And since mine have arrived and been properly tallied, I really really want to thank everyone at Steve Jackson Games, and Mr. Jackson himself. This has been a dream of mine since 1977, having clean attractive plastic minis by the boatload.
I noted on the KS page, but today was a triple win day: 1. I got to play Ogre for real today, face-to-face, with another backer. 2. Ogre Miniatures #2 live and backed. 3. The mailman dropped off my large box of Ogre Miniatures #1. Could the day possibly get any better? |

This is one of the few times I've ever wished this forum had a "like" button.

The glow from the glow-in-the-dark dice is pretty remarkable - really bright from a very short exposure.

Note: FedEx and USPS drivers come up our drive and leave packages at the door. Every time. The FedEx driver will often ring the bell letting us know something has arrived too. At the end of the day, the issue is not the companies per se, but the individual drivers who they've hired. My wife has ordered from companies specifically because they use FedEx and not UPS. The solution is to make sure the companies in question learn of the poor behavior by their drivers. They will (eventually) fix the problem if there are enough complaints. D.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
Here (Springfield MO area) we get excellent service from both USPS and UPS. FedEx can go jump in a lake, their service sucks.
I live in a rural area, I'm an 1/8 of a mile from the road. The FedEx guy went to the house, we were fencing and caught him on the way out, in OUR driveway. He would not stop, or talk to us, and did not leave the package. I had to make a 40 mile round trip to Springfield to get it.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
By the way, you probably know this, but just in case any of you don't, if you hold glow-in-the-dark parts up to a light bulb for about 30-60 seconds, it absorbs light, and glows even more dazzingly in the dark. Try it!

Yeah, this is a new factory for us, and their GITD plastic is a lot stronger than we were expecting. Makes me want to try more projects with GITD bits.

Re: Ogre Miniatures Series 1 delivery thread
The question there will be, if we leave some GitD dice laying around on the game board, will they make their own orange crater? :>)
