GURPS101: Expanded Higher Purpose Categories

I muse on Higher Purposes and how they can be expanded to include more things.

GURPS101: Alternate Climbing Rules

Something that came out of my Chronicles of Ceteri when I decided to apply Technical Grappling's task resolution mechanic to scaling a cliff. So here it is cleaned up for your use.

The Hurt Locker: Spell Container

To draw more attention to the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Games Magic Items 2 kickstarter I decided to release a new magical item/artifact every day the campaign was active. So here is the first one: my take on the DnD ring of spell storing.

My only recommendation, is that to fit other items that aren't meant to be used as Power Item, you should remove the "Power Item: 25 FP" from it... unless it's also meant to act as Power Item, in which case this item is ... beyond awesome.

Yes. You can use it as a power item. That was intentional. the item's max FP is doing two things in this case. I did forget one thing though: how to activate the item.

Woo... that is one potent item. My next Wizard has new wish list... this actually tops a Ravenous Gem as a "I need it now".

They were one of my favorite things in Dnd. My girlfriend would play a wizard or druid and I'd play a ranger or fighter and we'd be hell on wheels with them. :-)
