[Powers] [Weird] Applications of multidimensional imagination and cognition
Greetings, all!
Quote:
For a more complicated application, I can think things like visualizing multiple branches of a chess/go/etc. game when examining the possible outcomes of the next move. Or the resulting available moves when restoring a Rubik's Cube even if not taught any formal algorithms. I find this sort of mental power intriguing, and want to employ it for some characters or species in campaigns. However, for that fleshing out in even more detail, in terms of effects and application, is a necessity. I'm thinking it shares some of the effects of Intuitive Mathematician, at least for the sorts of tasks that can be solved easier/faster through multidimensional visualisation. I'm not sure whether it has applications for predictive tasks (probably not). It probably helps with some engineering and visual design tasks. Not so sure about Piloting and similar tasks. I definitely don't want it to be just IQ!, as that would seem both boring and inaccurate. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! |

I think the straightforward way to implement this is as Intuitive Mathematician, perhaps with Aspected: Spatial relationships. Then you can use the "abilities enhancing skills" rule to give +2 or +4 to suitable tasks.
