Will SPANC ever be printed again?
Took my copy of SPANC to local game night, pretty much everyone freaked out about how rare the game apparently is... the game is great and has always been one of my favorites, it's sad t o know it's not been printed in so long

Re: Will SPANC ever be printed again?
We almost never say "never." It's a good game and someday we might bring it back. That is an advantage of being an old company that plans to get older - we can think about the five- or ten-year future without feeling silly. But this is not a good environment for reprints right now.
The same is true of one I was looking at last night - Strange Synergy. |

This is on my "try to play and if as fun as predicted, acquire" list.
I recently played some Frag Gold (OOP) and Ninja Burger (some stock remaining but not supported) - two other great games who's sun is (currently) setting. D.

Re: Will SPANC ever be printed again?
While the game does deliver on its acronym, and always leads to lively conversations about pool boys, actual gameplay of SPANC has been disappointing - there are very few if any interesting decisions involved in playing it, compared to what I’ve come to expected from SJG’s card and board games.
Purchased at the same time, we got far more enjoyment out of SJG’s King’s Blood: the rules are roughly as simple (it’s almost crazy eights), but there are multiple valid approaches and it just suggest telling great stories. I fully encourage getting SPANC as a collector’s item or gamer’s curiosity, though.

Re: Will SPANC ever be printed again?
SPANC sparked a lively discussion about the objectification of women in games, until we realized the designer was female.
Then we just played and tried to collect as many pool boys as possible. |

If that means what I think it means, excellent news!
