There's been no official word yet on why the store abruptly closed, but there have been disturbing rumors that the closure was directly attributable to the State of Missouri's Department of Revenue for failure to pay back taxes. That has often been the bane of many small businesses.

There are also rumors that Miniature Market is opening a new store more devoted to full-on retail, one rumor of course states they forced the owner to close.

Oof. Yeah, here in Denver we lost a game store that way - Attactix had been a staple of the gaming scene for decades, and one day the store was locked up.

So the FLGS has updated their Facebook page, and notes they worked it out with the State, and will re-open Friday. They also note though that they are moving before the end of the year, and it would seem the old owner is out of the picture. If Casenet can be believed, the back taxes issue goes back at least five or six years, and may be as much as $100K.
