Default Large Katar Typo?

Low-Tech p. 69 lists the damage of the Large Katar as thr+2.

MA p. 229 lists the damage of the Large Katar as thr+1.

Is this an error? If so, which one is correct?

There are subtle - and not so subtle - differences between the two. You'll have to decide which to follow, but Low-Tech stats generally have more research behind them (especially for armor).

It's not an error; both are correct.

As Asta Kask said, there are two different weapon tables here. The MA tables are based on Basic Set. The Low-Tech ones incorporated some changes to weapon damage that have been bandied around for a while. One of them was a +1 to the thrust damage of a shortsword - so therefore, other shortsword-based weapons that had been getting +1 needed a boost to +2 to make sense. Such as the large katar.

You do have to choose between them. Personally, I use the LT weapon damages in my own games.
