+1 to run away
what does this actually mean. and if its on a monster card does that get +1 or do you?

Since players are the only ones who roll to Run Away, you would apply any Run Away bonus or penalty to your roll. Monsters don't get to Run Away if they lose a combat, they just end up dead. As for what it means, a +1 to Run Away means you add 1 to your Run Away roll. Since you normally Run Away on a 5 or better, this means that a 4 becomes a 5, giving you slightly better odds.
