Default Demon of Snuff Films

Saminga first proposed the idea of a Demon of Snuff Films in the 1970s not long after the term was first used.

Nybbas as gesture of Friendship allowed Saminga to choose the demon to receive the word. He arrived on the Corporeal plane and was put in Trauma within hours, After recovering from Trauma, he returned to the Corporeal Plane and was promptly Soul-killed.

This same sequence has occured with some variety sixteen times (one was soul killed within minutes of arrival), the record for survival is just under eleven months.

Nybbas at this point doesn't know if Saminga doesn't realize that Nybbas is an Impudite or just doesn't care. Nybbas simply doesn't want Snuff Films on the air, because while Humans are quite willing to fake a Snuff Film, Nybbas knows that a Samingite with that word simply won't be able to do that without dissonance.

So Nybbas as quietly let several high ranking combat specialized servitors know that Demons of Snuff Films are simply not allowed to live. He wants them dead, he wants deniability *and* he wants it on film. So while these servitors are actively working towards the death of the Demon of Snuff Films, they are free of Nybbas's dissonance conditions. Nybbas also is also open to his Demons getting help in the kill, over the years Factioners, Lusties and the odd Vapulan have been brought into the plans. Lilim using Geases have also brought in Demons from other words as well as Angels. However, in at least two cases Angels have volunteered.

The last of which could potentially strengthen the Word, if the recording receives wide circulation.

To Nybbas, things that have been filmed are more real. That doesn't mean you have to circulate the recording; The Media's collection of blackmail material is going to be quite significant.

I'm not well versed on the rules, but would hope that a word's strength is based on its effect on the symphony outside of that on angels/demons/etc.

Yes, but if the recordings of the Demon being put into Trauma are made publicly available on the Corporeal Plane, that would be likely to strengthen the word of "Snuff Films".

Nybbas also wants the soul kills on Film (He has *long* since perfected having Video Cameras that you could take as you go Celestial).

There's actually not a thing about Death dissonance that prevents them from faking death, they just can't encourage life. So, any on-set healing has to be done by their minions, supernatural or otherwise, or by their "any word but Death" liasons.

In fact, I somehow suspect the world record would have to have been set by enthusiastic misapplication of the Corporeal Song of Form to have Mummies and Zombis assume various forms in order to be "killed" in various gruesome and entertaining ways. After all, healing up undead minions isn't a violation of a restriction to never encourage life.

I would imagine that 'faking' death would tend to squick out Samingites. And which serves Saminga's word better, having a living human meet a chain-saw or going through the fakery?

In something as crude as a snuff film, actual death. Subtler kinds of media that promote ideas like undeath as romantic and attractive might appeal to servitors of Death who are getting bored and ironic, but they're probably the work of Dark Humour.

Yeah, I could see the word of "Goth Subculture" being held by a Djinn of Dark Humor...

So, which Archangel would have sponsored the Word of "Perky Goths" in response?
