Ethics and setting oddities
The thread about the ethics of magic in the GURPS forum reminded me of something I'd noticed about the IN system/setting: Seraphim are the only beings in the universe for whom torture actually is a useful means of getting accurate information.

Well, the only way to conceal info from a Seraph is to not say anything, so 'hit them until they answer' is a technically valid option.

As you and I have seen in our own campaign in the past. (Soldier of Infernal Fire being pressed by Seraph of Judgment. Not pretty.) Although in theory, a tricky enough Balseraph might be able to confuse the issue.

Re: Ethics and setting oddities
Any torture session with a Balseraph as the victim is much less an attempt at information-gathering than a mutual brainwashing battle. I suspect that with standard procedures in place the Balseraph almost always loses.

There's no song of truth? I'm not very well versed on In Nomine. Sorry.

Re: Ethics and setting oddities
To add to the scariness -- an Elohite assistant could predict which techniques will get the victim to give an answer at all (whether true or false is for the Most Holy to decide) and which ones would be fruitless.
