I must have missed you somehow - was looking for a game late afternoon. Will try again next week.

It's that time again... David and I have started a new game.
I had left mine up and running for quite a while and apparently did not have any issues hooking up with him to start a new one.

Unfortunately, it seems like we are the only two left standing for multiplayer games :-(

I'm signed on. Was out of town the last couple of weekends but should be good to go for a while.

The game misses me. I've been getting "new turn" notifications from Steam despite not having any games running.

That's pretty funny. I'll fire it up and see if we can connect.

to be honest, I thought that went better than it should have. I knew fro the get-go I had no chance. I really hate how unbalanced the SHVY is.

It's also very confusing why the system can't figure out the game is over. You shouldn't have to chase the dummy units.

If it's any comfort I used the same all-SHVY attack on Steve and I think you inflicted more casualties than he did. (Last Train Out, for those wondering)

This game can go pretty quickly when there's two insomniacs involved.

The ending was odd. It kept going after that last of your real units were gone but ended just before I got in range of the surviving dummies.

It ended because I surrendered once I realized what it was doing. Like I said, the scenario should be able to tell all I have left are dummy units and should call it.

I also don't like not being able to tell where the attack is coming from during initial setup. You should be able to see the entry points during the setup phase; I was setting up blind because I had no way to double-check where the attack was coming from. That's probably a UI tweak request that would apply to all scenarios; there needs to be a way to either review the scenario conditions, or display entry hexes during deployment so the defense has a chance.

All I kept thinking was "I really wish that HWZ wasn't a dummy unit" :-)

on the plus side, the gameplay was pretty clean. I didn't see any issues with game sync or anything like that.
