Default Lantara expansions and additions, mini-game/project

Lantara expansions and additions, mini-game/project

This one is fairly simple. Download Caravan to Ein Arris, if you haven't already done so. Read the brief world info/background sidebar and notes. Look over the map. Make stuff and post it, following the rules below:

Rules:
  • CANON
Do not contradict any canon. This is easy, as there’s really nothing more than Caravan to Ein Arris. Try to reconcile your work with previous thread entries.
Some discrepancies will no doubt arise. We may chalk that up to the mutable nature of travelers' tales shared around the night-fires in the caravanserai.

  • MAGIC AND SUPERNATURAL POWERS
Please limit actual magic/supernatural powers to subtle, mysterious, and rare abilities. No standard spell casters/mages. Use Advantages like Awareness, Oracle, Higher Purpose, and so on as you think best, but avoid super powers. No face-melting, turning lead into gold, flying, and so on. Skeptics should be able to doubt magic without seeming like idiots.
  • TECHNOLOGY:
TL 3 is the cap and the default. Most civilized areas should be TL 3, with lower TLs possible for isolated and primitive peoples.

Feel free to look beyond North Africa and the Near East for historical models.

Tricks like some kind of flash powder or naptha weapons are fine, but if gunpowder weaponry exists it will be in its infancy. Fire lances might be okay; but let’s say that proper rockets have not yet have been invented, nor have workable cannon.
  • HUMAN ONLY:
Only humans, please. No elves, dwarves, and so on.
Oddball sub races/splinter cultures are fine if you place them in regions not used in the adventure or make them fairly rare.
Templates should come out to exactly zero CPs. (That should remove worries about ubermenschen). Avoid any stuff that Biotech would class as a species modification.

I think he wants setting. For example canonically all we know about Catho is that it is an island off the south coast, that 'short, dark, curly-haired fellows' could hail from there, and that Katsaya from Catho resents not being married to a hereditary noble despite being rich.

'Stuff' would be something like
"Catho is a populous but somewhat arid island which relies economically on sea trade.
It is comparably wealthy and their ship owning merchants hold most real political power. Their very old hereditary aristocracy is relatively powerless due to religiously proscribed strictures, such as poverty, learning and meditation.
One of the religious strictures for the nobility is exogamy. Children born during the night are considered noble and must follow the commandments of their noble caste, while children born during the day inherit their status from the other parent.
Marrying one of the old blooded aristocracy is very prestigious and religiously and symbolically important though. This intermarriage justifies much of the merchants power.
Cathos navy is, not surprisingly, excellent and may be the most powerful in Lantara, but they rely on mercenaries for almost all of their ground troops.
The Catharan religion is..."

Yes, that sort of thing.

One could also add NPCs adventure seeds, and so on.
