Default My fault the SHVYs are underpriced

To make amends, let's play CC.

You get 13 SHVYs and 30 squads of regular infantry.

I get just one Mk V and 15 Heavy Weapons squads.

There, I'm letting you take the superior units and spotting you an AU on top of it.

Any takers?

If you ever drop by DFW, sure.

SHVYs aren't a great pick vs a MkV (or a MkIII). Too few targets for all those missiles. Your opponent will likely be down to 9 SHVYs just from that. Rams will hurt twice as much, too. Heavy weapons squads will cut down more in the clash before the SHVY's AP guns come into play.

Would you offer 52 LTs instead?

Lt Tanks are hardly my fault. They were in print long before Evil Stevie first heard my name.

So if you could eliminate any one item from the Ogre line up, and replace it with one "better suited" -- what would it be?

Since the PE forces could logically have a strong German presence and influence, I've always wondered at the lack of a tank killing Jagdpanzer IV or Hetzer style unit.

So we need to drop the D5 SHVY to 9VPs??

Is that what I'm hearing?
That can't be what I'm hearing.

Steve! Henry's hurting my brain again, make him stop! :)

Atk 3/3, D 2, M 2 lt

It's limited defenses and awkwardness of mounting a Superheavy style gun as fixed mounting on a Lt Tank chassis causes it to self-disrupt at the start of every overrun, if not disrupted beforehand.

Cost: 3 VPs.

It's just that the more extreme units have situations where they are less useful that usually.

My head hurts! Your specs for a Tank Destroyer are different than the two options in the resources section.

The other two are:

Version One A3/2 D2 M4
Version Two A4/3 D1 M3
Your specs A3/3 D2 M2

Seeing as the tank destroyer was about the most effective design in WW2, it seems that having one in Ogre could be valid; but yours seems a little too slow for the system based on historical background. I see a standard HVY hull with a casemate gun, ala' the Jagdpanther ....

I'm thinking just for variety: A3/2 D2 M3

Let the PE forces use it has a defensive tank killer, and the NAC can use the same spec as a Medium Tank (for balance).

Comment on the bold...

Not sure it was. Do you have any documented evidence that is the case? I ask, because I always understood that the reason for making tank destroyers, like the Jagdpanther, was down to larger gun and low profile from not needing a turret, which was a cost versus benefit payoff.

Since WW2 there have been remarkably few Jagdpanther like tank destroyer designs.
