Default Raise Knock hardness

Take the dice to pick as the minimum dice to roll for the Knock spell.

The Knock enchantment still works without a roll, making it actually worth money.

I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps two sentences isn't quite enough.

If it's 5/DX to pick a lock with Locksmith then it's 5/DX to cast the Knock spell on it.
