You don't have to do anything in response to my request, because I worded my request carefully to be clear that it was my personal opinion as not to act as a moderator when I'm not (which is also even more against the rules than altering someone's quote).

I cannot believe I have to close this thread. I'm half tempted to infract everyone in this argument (yes, everyone, not just Figleaf!) for derailing the thread into a debate about how "official" everything is, as if that's going to change anyone's lives in any way.

Everyone who posted on the last several pages, please consider yourself lucky that I'm in the middle of reviewing an upcoming issue of Pyramid and thus don't have the time to do more than scowl before going back to work.
