Default Munchkin Cthulu example of combat

In Munchkin Cthulhu rulebook (http://www.worldofmunchkin.com/rules/cthulhu_rules.pdf) there is an example of combat at page 5.
A cultist is in combat with a monster, and plays a Canned Meat card that gives a +3 bonus. Another player plays a Curse, that cause the cultist to lose its class and all associated bonus.
In this example the cultist loses the bonus from Canned Meat too, and it seems wrong to me.
Am I missing something?

I actually broke out all cards involved in that scenario to make sure we were not missing a reason for the loss of the +3 and it seems to be an error. Good catch. (unless I am missing something there as well, I'm no official.)

It appears that +3 from Canned Meat got lost in the mix. Margot's combat strength should go from 12 to 7, then to 9.
