Cheap RAW Armor Enchantments
OK, here's a table I made up with armor by the piece costs. Since it occured to me that piece by piece armor would be less cost to cast spells on (magic p66), I decided to see where the price break of 60 point limit for quick and dirty enchantments were. Surprising results ensued. For example, a full suit of armor cannot be Lighten-ed for Q&D, costing $3300. However, all of the pieces can be, for 130% of energy cost, totalling only $130. (I know, it comes out strangely. A full suit by piece is indeed 130% more energy; however, it is done in parts, each less than 60 energy at a time, so the total is $1 per point instead of $33.)
Based on 60 point Q&D enchantment limit, and $1 per point. Totals can be directly multiplied by $/point, but table is completely altered if not 60 point limit. *Not included in any totals, as it is over 60 points. ** cast at low levels, then recast to strengthen it, as per Accuracy (p. 65). Oddly, enough, scratching my head trying to figure out how to model this in GCA, I discovered it already does it that way, automatically. |
