Default Curse! Arbitrary Game Balance

If you die in munchkins and Curse! Arbitrary Game Balance, is placed on another player and you are still dead but you are the lowest level do you get to go up a level or does it have no effect because you’re dead.

The Munchkin rules says this in the section on Death...

"Dead characters cannot receive cards for any reason, not even Charity, and cannot level up or win the game."

Therefore, no, you cannot gain a level.

However, your death only lasts until the end of the turn on which you die. When the next player's turn begins, you come back to life (albeit lacking any equipment or cards in hand).

This rule gets overlooked a LOT, I've discovered, but it's a critical one because otherwise death would knock you out of the game a lot longer than it does, and that sucks.
