Also, I should have a handful more lenses up by the end of the week.
Ahh thats fine then. I do have a busy week or so anyway. I do try to keep myself up to stuff happening n this thread, my concept might change depending which roles are being filled up by other people. I'd like to be a good complement.

That should be doable, even though I haven't developed any lenses that specifically cover those abilities.

Do you have some specific skills/advantages/perks in mind?

I have been working on my character. I don't quite have numbers yet, hopefully soon. But here is a tentative background story. If you need me to change anything, that won't be a problem. I kept thing generic to make it easy to make changes. Let me know if this works.
_______________________________________________

Ariella “Lioness” Zarzecki

Growing up in Israel has always been anything but boring. The perpetual sense of caution and fear one gets used to over time. Even the bombings can become a common occurrence, a way the human mind rectifies a terrible situation. But it did not take long for Ariella to grow tired of the fear she felt and saw around her. She swore she would live up to her name and be the Lioness who would protect her people and her homeland.

When it was time for her to serve in the IDF, she did not hesitate. She was eager to take her place among the heroes who did much to protect their people. She excelled in her studies and her training and rose in rank quickly. Then came the day she put in her papers to petition to join the Sayeret. Though she was overjoyed to be accepted, her family couldn’t help but worry.

She was fearless and focused. She soaked in everything she was taught like a sponge and the more she learned the more she hated the terrorists who would attack and destroy innocent people. The more she hated them, the more determined she was to stop them, by whatever means necessary.

Then came her first mission. It was more successful than anyone had expected. No one among the enemy ever guessed Israel would send a woman to do a man’s job so it was very easy for her to move about, and the birqa made disguises and make up a non-issue.

Since then she has had many other successful missions. She has found and identified threats, hide outs, and weapons bunkers among other things. Those that were not captured or destroyed by IDF forces were destroyed by her. In time her gender became known among those of her field and many learned to be wary lest they come to the Lioness of Israel’s attention.

She has had the honor of serving and protecting Israel for 20 years. But now her superiors have informed her that it is time for her to stalk her prey where ever they may hide, anywhere in the world. And so, here she is. Ready for whatever happens.

That looks really good. No changes necessary.

One thing I'd like to see is a timeline of significant events. It doesn't have to be super detailed, or even give exact dates...years are fine. Things like Birth, military join date, significant training or operational events, etc. If your characters have families (most should) some details about parents, siblings, spouses, and children will all help flesh out the characters.

The more details you guys give me, the better job I can do at connecting you to the world.

Also, I should be able to throw some significant time at getting the Specialty lenses assembled and up on this thread. Keep in mind that those are optional, and there should already be enough for you guys to build your characters mechanically.

Could I take some kind of permanent skill-granting Affliction with some kind of Preparation Required/Takes Extra Time, such that a skill point is granted faster than two hundred hours of training time?

Or maybe just something along the lines of Ally Group (locally-trained irregulars, fairly often, 25% point total), depending on the degree of abstraction we'd like to employ?
I've done some thinking about this, and here is my suggestion.

We will start with your proposal:

Ally Group [6]
-Locally trained Irregulars: 6 - 10 members
-Frequency of Appearance: Fairly Often (9 or less)
-25% point total (90-points)

You MUST purchase the Ally groups separately for each Cultural Familiarity.

Below is the list of Cultural Familiarities I'm going to be using:

-Anglo (the U.K. and its English-speaking former colonies, including the U.S.A.)
-Central Asian (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and so on)
-East Asian (China, Japan, Korea, etc.)
-Eastern European (the former Soviet Bloc)
-Latin American (Mexico and parts south)
North African (from the Mediterranean coast south to the Sahel)
South Asian (dominated by India)
Sub-Saharan (specifically as contrasted with North African)
West Asian (from the Mediterranean east to Iran)
Western European ( “the Continent”)

So when you guys show up in one particular country where you have a cultural familiarity, I'll roll for your Ally group. You may end up having several Ally Groups in one CF region, if I roll well.

You don't HAVE to buy an Ally group for each CF...but it's probably not a bad idea if you want this to be your main Schtick. Likewise, if you want to increase the Frequency of appearance for one or more groups, just pay the appropriate point difference.

Does that fit your concept?

So most of the lenses have come out a lot more expensive than I originally planned.

I'm considering 375 points total instead of 360.

When you do your builds, do them with 360 points, and the let me know what you would add/change with an additional 15 points.

Also, I love detailed character backgrounds. I don't require them, but if you want to invest the time and effort, I'd be willing to reward that with additional build points.

I've reconsidered applying. Enough on my plate at the moment.
