"No, the System Access Unit is for people who can't or won't use an ANI".

She lies in the pod, with the panel door open. Several times during this, she feels the room get very stuffy all of a sudden, only to have the feeling go away.

After what might be 20 minutes, might be 32 minutes, and might be an hour and some more, the same type of device that delivered her clothing delivers an object. A smart phone. Why does she think of it as a smart phone? What do telephones have to do with system data access?

The not-a-smart-phone has a hard clear surface with black underneath, but it doesn't feel like its made of glass. Rather, the clear surface is some sort of hard plastic. She can tell because the weight, and the temperature. Her mind starts analyzing the material, before she catches herself. It seems she knows at least something about identifying unidentified materials. This is a plastic, and she find her knowledge of plastics sorely lacking, while her knowledge of clay and ceramics is well developed.

The phone turns on almost as soon as she picks it up. Its doubled sided, with screens pouring light from both sides. Text reads "Welcome to your System Access Device. Please hold this device facing towards you, held comfortably" A voice echoes the words, as though the device wasn't sure if the text was enough. The voice begins to guide her through setting up her account.

"please watch the rotating circle while we capture an image of your face"
"please place the palm of your hand on the device for four seconds"
"Please state your name clearly" **
"Please give your employee ID number. If you do not have one, you may send a request for help by saying 'I don't know'"
