Analog buys first serial rights. Reprint rights belong to the author's estate. Which, alas, does not make it easier to track down.

...so are you looking for submissions? 'Cause I've got a banger of a story that just needs some revisions.

In principle, yes, I would want such a thing. (And I'd want it on good old-fashioned dead trees, not some godforsaken ethereal form that requires electricity to read.)

However, I'd be mightily disappointed if it required familiarity with the game to follow it. Mind you, I *have* that familiarity — but well-written fiction should be able to stand on its own and appeal to any audience (including newcomers), not just cater to its perceived Automatic Audience.

I could cite a large number of books based on games / game worlds that fail to stand on their own. But I won't, because I'm not looking for an argument.

I thought you said you were looking for an argument. (That'll be 25p. :) )

Watch out, or Phil will come in here and do his Major Graham Chapman imitation. "Alright, this has gotten entirely too silly".

More fiction should provide some folks more inspiration to set up more Ogre games/scenarios. It would be good to see the details that make up the timeline of the Last War develop further.

Guessing I should finish writing my 2nd essay then?
