At the end of the hall are two double doors which lead into the throne room. When they doors are opened the PCs see many lizardmen, trolls, snakemen and two snakemen upon the throne diaz, one on the throne and the other beside him. The King shouts "Attack!" The King cheers on his warriors as he sits on the throne and watches.

There are 20 lizardmen, 8 swamp trolls and 5 snakemen (Hsaing)

Throne of King Sardak: This throne room is quite grand. King Sardak sits upon a golden throne (which is more like a couch) adorned with many jewels and gems. King Sardak is quite large and lazy, he sits behind Utter Dome while the rest of his minions fight. He is constantly cheering his minions on shouting "Kill them." If all of the warriors are defeated then King Sardak and his mage Kez will still remain behind the utterdome wall. King Sardak will say "Now it is time for a true mage to rid us of these adventurers. Kez, destroy them now."

Kez responds and says "Yes my King." Kez then begins to chant and cast a spell. Magical energy is surrounds his casting hands, crackling with power. Kez is merely doing a flashy spell that does nothing other than to distract the PCs so that the elite assassins can sneak up behind the PCs. King Sardak is very sly and has set up a backup plan in case his warriors were defeated. There are two permeable walls on the left and right walls. The assassins are four poison elves who have just made their weapons extremely toxic (4d poison). If they succede with their stealth roll they will attempt to backstab the PCs. If they are seen, they will fight with their swords and Kez and King sardak will disappear.

This is pretty funny, but what happens if a PC dispels the Utter Dome? Failure by GM fiat?

This is probably going to be a really long fight if they parry on 14-. Or maybe not so long, since they can all throw -10/-5 Deceptive attacks and still hit on 12-. At the very least I'd give them low HT and HP, so when one finally does take a hit he goes down.

Through the permeable walls is a large room with a stairway going down.

Guard Room

There is one poison elf guard per PC, there will be one leader for them. They will attack immediately as they are well informed of the PCs presence

Pool Room

In this room is a large square pool with filthy water. The walls are covered in algae and the ceiling has stalagtites of slime dripping from it. Within the filthy pool are 1 frog demon per 2 PCs. The demons have their frog-like eyes peering above the surface and will be detected by PCs on a Per-3 roll. The frog demons will spring forth and attack.

Traits: Combat Reflexes; Dark Vision; Doesn't Breath;Doesn't Eat or Drink; Doesn't Sleep; Immunity to Metabolic Hazards; Indomitable; Injury Tolerance (No Blood, Brain, Neck, Vitals); Unfazeable.

The pool room leads to a hallway.

Hall to the Temple

This hall is 100 feet long. It is made of normal stone but is covered with algae. The hallway descends down towards the temple. As the PCs descend, the hallway begins to to move and buckle. The walls begin to ooze hideous slime and all PCs must make a DX roll or fall into the slimy walls. Any PC touching the wall will will take 2d damage on exposed flesh and the ooze will reach flesh in DR seconds on armored flesh unless removed. The hallway will buck all non-followers of the ancient god during the entire time the PCs are in the hallway.

Temple of the Ancient God

The double doors to this temple are of orichalcum and they have many demonic and serpent etchings upon them. The doors are unlocked and when they are opened a large temple area is revealed. Within the temple it is quite dark (-5 to vision), there is no way to use light spells or torches to make it brighter than this.It would be completely dark without any light however. The floors are made of green marble with strong veins of gold and silver that shine in the torchlight. On each side of the temple walls are a set of six pillars made of green serpentine run through with strange reds and violets. The pillars are carved in such a way that they resemble intertwined and twisting serpents. The ceiling is over 50 feet high and the walls are made of marble patterned in reptillian scales. The room exudes a strong evil and it can be felt by all, particularly holy PCs. At the end of the temple is a sacrificial altar carved out of beautifully patterned malachite which is upon a diaz with three steps of adventurine. Behind the altar is a wall of obsidion. On each side of the obsidion wall are copper braziers with green patinas which burn a golden flame causing unnerving shadows to dance across the temple. The entire temple seems to defy normal geometry and the pillars and walls seem to subtley move.

After a time a figure in an deep green robe will walk towards the PCs carrying a small torch. This is Saepha, the poison elf temple mistriss. She is quite beautiful with delicate features and a youthful and innocent face. Her skin is a light green color and her curly hair is a deep green which is pulled back from her face. Her eyes are predatory and serpentine, gleaming with a golden sparkle in the torchlight. She says to the PCs in a gentle voice "Your bravery is commendable, surrender now and the great Nyaga will reward you with a swift death."

If the PCs surrender then the avatar of Nyaga will come forth and devour them. If the PCs refuse or attack Saepha, she will grin playfully, revealing her fang-like canines and say "So be it, Nyaga will show no mercy."

Saepha is just a projecting an image of herself and this image will quickly disappear. Afterwards, the black obsidion wall behind the altar will grow infinately black and a cool otherworldly breeze will come forth causing the brazier flames to writhe like dancing serpents. Any torch or lantern flames will do likewise. Two large red serpent eyes will leer out of the infinate blackness (what used to be the obsidion wall). (Fright Check -2) The eyes follow the PCs and eventually what appears to be a huge black serpent-like thing coming forth from the wall. The serpent thing will then coil around the altar and ready itself to strike the PCs. The evil emanating from this thing is incomprehensible to mortal minds and holy PCs are absolutely revolted by this monstrosity.

Avatar of Nyaga
ST:30 DX:15 IQ:15 HT:13 HP:50 Will:20 Per:20 FP:13 Speed:7.00 Move:7 SM:+4 DR:10 Dodge:10 Parry:N/A

Bite(20): 3d impaling + poison HT roll or paralysis until cured.

Traits: Combat Reflexes; Dark Vision; Doesn't Breath; Doesn't Sleep; Immunity to Metabolic Hazards; Indomitab;e; No Legs (Slithers).

When the avatar is finally slain it will begin to decompose and form a hideous chaotic mass of serpent like things before dissipating.

Why HT for this instead of Will?

If they are alerted to the intruders, why wait for them to enter an open room? Why not meet the intruders at a chokepoint where they can throw up a Blackout and open fire with their crossbows from down a long corridor, staggering their aim times so some are pinning down the intruders while the others are taking cover around the corner to reload? Basic tactics and decent weapon skills would let them be equally effective or better than they currently are with no grasp of tactics and elite weapon skills, and is more realistic to boot. ;)

Amphibious? Some kind of long-range tongue attack?

2d? Yikes... If it's supposed to be some kind of corrosive, why not something more like 1 HP/round of exposure? They're not going to be able to wash it off instantly if they fall in it, unless somebody is very quick with Water Jet...

Why is any light provided/allowed at all? They've all got Dark Vision... Again, easy way to make the fight way tougher without necessarily just piling bigger stats on the opposition.

When you say that holy PCs feel evil, is that shorthand for opposed Sanctity or just a colorful description? If the latter, I'd make it the former.

Is that really the best she can do? C'mon, Sex Appeal or a pleasant lie about working for them and being rewarded handsomely or something... ;)

Since it's the actual avatar of a god, this would be a really good time for a palpable drop in Sanctity if there hasn't been one already IMHO. -5 on Cleric spells will make this fight brutal, considering that its mere (heh) HT 13 to resist Body Control and the like is probably its biggest weakness.

This sounds like a good candidate for the Vermiform morphology package.

I'll add tactics, I was just sort of writing out what I was in the room.

They should have amphibious, maybe tougue stuff too.

Characters only have to make a DX roll to not fall but sure 1HP per second is fine.

I want there to be some light to give the temple an eerie effect. I'll have to think of some reason to have it.

Yeah, I forgot to add sanctity.

The PCs are just losers to Saepha so she doesn't waste any time flirting with them or telling them lies. She only wants to have a quick laugh at them before they are devoured. I also forgot that she was supposed to have the door to the temple slam shut to lock the PCs in.

Saepha's Room

This room is off to the side of the temple. When avatar is slain, then the door to the room will magically unlock. Ifthe PCs enter the room, then Saepha will be standing inside a circle of power and chanting. Magical energy swirls wildly from her hands. This isn't Saepha, she has long departed with King Sardak and Kez. This is a simple elf girl named Gwynlin who has been shapeshifted to look like Saepha and charmed as well. The magical power from her hands is an illusion. All spells will be dispelled if Gwynlin is killed revealing her true form.

Gwynlin
ST:10 IQ:11 DX:11 HT:8 HP:10 Will:11 Per:11 FP:8 Move:4.75 Speed:5 SM:0 DR:0 Dodge:N/A Parry: N/A

Traits: Appearance (Attractive); Magery 0

Gwynlin was in the forest looking for wild mushrooms when she was captured. Her parents are very worried about her and will be very grateful if she is returned.

Sacrifice Room

This room has 24 elves, 16 half-elves, 18 humans, and 12 brownies all locked in cells and terrified.

Saepha's plan to worship the ancient god to expand the swamp has been twarted.

So ends It Came from Wawne.
