Dealing with "blinking" invisibility
There is a character in the game I GM who is using a power I created that allows his to go invisible until the start of his next action. Activating the power is a free action (reduced time maxed out). The result is that each round he reappears, free action vanishes, and then attacks enemies.
Should enemies have a defense against him? Should it count as a run around attack or something else? Short of "tricks" such as infravision to see him, how should enemies attack him effectively? |

Re: Dealing with "blinking" invisibility
The rules areal state If a person is aware of an attack coming but can't see the source they get an active defence but at -4.
The assume after the first attack would would count as an attack from ambush. |

Awesome, thanks. I can't seem to find rules on ambushing (except for an ambush from above).

I'd say you have to have a pretty good idea of where he is to do that. That said, its just -4 if you know where he is but can't see him exactly.

If he's attacking from the side, they get that additional -2 to their defense as well. If he's attacking from behind, the enemy gets no defense unless they've wised up to his tricks, after which it should probably be treated like a "runaround" attack. Quote:
If the enemies know he's coming, they could lay down flour or some other powders on the ground, and watch for footprints . . . |
