Default [Trap][Hazard] Danger Noodles

Danger Noodles
Danger Noodles (no one is sure where the name came from, but it's stuck) are bizarre thin pasty beige tendrils (some as thin as capellini and some as thick as zitoni) that can be found where Elder Things have set up a lair. These things seemingly exist in this world and another and phase back and forth randomly, but avoid Elder Things automatically. Thus Elder Things can pass through these areas untouched. They may be found 'sprouting' from the floor, walls, or just clustered in the air, but often they form choke points or barriers defending the Elder Thing's Lair.

Detect: Per. Hidden Lore (Elder Things) to determine what they are and the danger they pose. Detection is automatic once 'agitated' as they glow with otherworldy colors and writhe about.
Disarm: No. Attacks can clear a hex (-4 to hit, HP 20) but every attack triggers an effect.
Avoid: Dex or Acrobatics if quiescent. Once touched (or triggered by a nearby Elder Thing) they cannot be avoided.
Save: No.
Effects: Any round spent attacking, or moving through their area, or every remaining within or next to their area, will cause you to suffer one of a variety effects to a random hit location, roll 1d:
1 - Razor: 1d+1 cutting damage, ignores armor.
2 - Lightning: 2d-2 lightning damage, treats metal armor as DR 1.
3 - Corrosion: 1d-1 corrosion damage, half damage follow up (minimum 1) for 10 seconds.
4 - Toxic: 2 FP damage, ignores armor and DR, HT-4 to resist.
5 - Burning: 2d burning damage.
6 - Roll twice more ignoring 6s.
Shots: Constant.
Rearm: No, however, if the Elder Thing that 'brought them into being' remains, a one hex patch will 'regrow' every week.
Steal: Every HP of damage done by a cutting attack leaves a chance that some Danger Noodles will be gatherable. Roll Cooking and multiply the MoS by the amount of cutting damage done, this equals the $ amount gathered. Every $100 worth is one pound of Danger Noodles, which can be cooked into a strange (and bland*), but filling meal. Roll: on a 1, 2, or 3 the consumer heals 1d FP and HP, on a roll of 4, 5, or 6 the consumer suffers 1d FP and HP damage.


* Some dungeon Cooks will pair Danger Noodles with a variety of sauces to spice up this meal.
